Zone 10 - What to Plant in November

November is here and the growing season is here for zone 10 gardeners. The hot and humid days of summer are behind us and we can start growing the garden. Now is a great time to start and grow all of the items we have below. Some should be started inside and others should be directly sowed into the garden.

The super sweet Renegade Spinach is simply the best all-around Spinach! This very adaptable spinach variety is early maturing with heavy yields and is easy to grow. Its dark green, rounded leaves are resistant to mildew and arise profusely on compact plants. Renegade is perfect for beginning gardeners and those that have been let down by other varieties!

The Scarlet Bandit Onion is a bunching variety that produces a beautiful scarlet red hue with flecks of white, making any salad or dish pop! This bright variety can be planted in either the spring or fall and will overwinter. The scarlet red of the slender bulbs will intensify with cold weather. The Scarlet Bandit can be used like an other bunching onions, or scallions, in several dishes.

The Brilliant celeriac is a large round root related to celery! This celeriac plant produces a a large round root with dark green celery-like leaves and a white flesh. Brilliant is a great addition to any meal as it adds a great flavor!

FALL SHIPPING - Certified - The Red Norland Potato has a very smooth skin, bright white flesh, and good yields of medium to large sized consistent tubers. Not many red skin varieties work well for frying, but this one is perfect to do the trick! There are approximately 5-8 potato seed pieces per pound. Usually 3-4 potatoes that can be cut into more pieces to plant.

The Cosmic Purple carrot is absolutely amazing! This beautiful purple carrot is bright yellow and orange inside! Cosmic Purple carrots have a tapered 7" shape and a very sweet taste, that has extra healthy anti-oxidants. This carrot is quite popular at farmers markets.
