The Wampum corn is an earlier version of a Carousel type of ornamental corn with ears that are 4-5 in. long and 1.25 in. diameter. Rebellion is a full season synthetic population derived from crosses among commercial and university corn belt dent inbred lines. Quite uniform Rebellion, it has the Ga1s trait to discourage cross pollination from unwanted pollen. Ga1s are naturally occurring traits in corn that will greatly reduce outcrossing with plants that don’t carry the same trait. This trait is called gametophytic incompatibility.
