When to Plant:
Direct seed as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Start transplant 4-5 weeks before this date if starting indoors. Transplants should be 12-16″ tall before moving outdoors.
Fertilizing:
After planting fertilizer plants until they begin to bulb every two weeks. Use an ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) in alkaline soils or a calcium nitrate (15-0-0) in acidic soils.
