When to Plant:
Days to maturity are from direct seeding, subtract two weeks if transplanting. Soil temperature should be above 70°F. All danger of frost should have passed. Most pumpkins should be started late-May to mid-June for early October harvest.
Fertilizing:
Heavy feeders. 5-15-15 works great. Too much nitrogen will hurt yields. Fertilize at a rate of 2 lbs. per 100 square feet.
